The “Delta King” Burger : a ½-pound char-grilled beef patty on a fresh baked bun, layered with coleslaw, American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and slow-cooked barbecued pork slathered in Chicago-style “BarBQphoria” sauce
The Beer Belly Grilled Cheese : quad deck sandwich, a 4×4 of bread and cheese, with bits of cheddar, asiago, gruyere, and goat cheese melted together. The sandwich has so much cheese, some is layered on top of it all, necessitating a fork and knife. The kitchen also adds in applewood bacon and a of drizzle maple syrup.
Ballotine appreciation : 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9
Turduckens, which are a type of ballotine, have enchanted me foodily forever. I’ve never had turducken but I’ve made other types of ballotine myself–without even realizing it. None like this one though:
a bustard stuffed with a turkey, a goose, a pheasant, a chicken, a duck, a guinea fowl, a teal, a woodcock, a partridge, a plover, a lapwing, a quail, a thrush, a lark, an ortolan bunting and a garden warbler [ x ]
